December 2012: The Louvre-Lens situated on a former mining basin in the north of France presents its collections to 900 000 visitors in the first year of opening,
The shopof the museeum structured with grey USM furnitures is surrounded by a glass envelope reminiscent of the glass and steel structure of the building itself designed by the Japanese agency SANAA. A “simple but not severe” architecture that won the “Equerre d’argent” architect award.
USM is also present in the restaurant of the museum held by Marc Meurin who was looking for a furniture-serving both design and functional.
